Franklin Township Softball Substitute Player Rules

If a team will not have enough players for a game, they may borrow a player who is registered, and has paid for, the current season of rec softball in the Franklin Township Softball League.

• A maximum of 2 players may be borrowed.

• When using substitute players, the total number of players on the team cannot exceed 10.

• Substitute players must be from the age division directly below the age division of the team borrowing the player.

• Substitute players are not allowed to pitch.

• Substitute players cannot replace a regular team player in the infield.

• Substitute players must be placed at the bottom of the batting order.

If a substitute player will be necessary, coaches shall ask the Board to assist with finding a player who meets the above criteria.
