FT Softball Fielder's Mask & Batting Helmet Rule

Fielder's Masks must be worn by every player in all divisions during ALL practices and ALL games. The safety of our players is our first priority. While we understand that each parent signed a waiver of liability, there has been an increase each year in the number of injuries caused from being hit in the face by a ball.
In addition to wearing a Fielder's Mask on the field, all batting helmets are required to include a face mask.
This rule will be strictly enforced, both in practices and in games. All board members and umpires are aware of the rule, and failure to comply will result in lost practice and/or game time by the player. Multiple offenses by the same team will be noted and taken into consideration by the Board.
