FALL 2024 AGE GROUPS *6U: Girls born in 2020, 2019, & 2018 *8U: Girls born in 2017 & 2016 *10U: Girls born in 2015 & 2014 *12/14U: Girls born in 2013, 2012, 2011, & 2010
REGISTRATION FEES *6U(2018-2020 birth years): Registration cost is $65.
*8U-14U(2010-2017 birth years): Registration cost is $115.
*There is a $20 discount for each additional registered child.

*Specific age group rules: 6U8U10U12/14U Please note, rules may be modified at any time prior to, or after the season begins. Changes should be communicated by your daughter's Head Coach, but please check these links regularly.
*Siblings in the same age group are guaranteed to be on the same team IF registered at the same time. If siblings are registered separately, please send an email to ftsoftball@gmail.com to ensure they are selected together.
*Due to the nature of the player selection, non-sibling team requests are NOT guaranteed.
COACHING *Anyone interested in being selected as a Head Coach must send an email to ftsoftball@gmail.com by JULY 20 in order to be considered. Please list any previous coaching experience and let us know why you are interested. Head coaches will be selected by the FT Softball Board and must pass a background check.
*Head coaches may select ONE assistant coach prior to Player Selections. If preferred, an assistant coach may be chosen after the team has been selected. Additional assistants may also be chosen at this time.
PLAYER SELECTION *The Coaches Meeting/Player Selections will be held on Sunday, July 28 (times TBD) at the Franklin Township Softball fields. Coaches will receive a packet of information, will be informed of the rules and expectations for the season, and will select their practice days and teams during this time. This event is for coaches only. If an Assistant Coach has been chosen, they are welcome to attend. No players, please.
PRACTICE *Practice days and times will be assigned at the Coaches Meeting. Families will be informed of their practice schedule by their Head Coach.
*The first practice for all teams will be the weekend of August 3-4. Prior to the first game, all teams will have one scheduled weekday practice and one scheduled weekend practice.
*After games begin, 6U teams will no longer hold practice (games will serve as practice). 8U-14 teams will have one scheduled weekday practice, pending weather and field availability.
GAMES *Each age group will play 10 regular season games. Game schedules will be released no later than 2 weeks prior to Opening Day.
*6U: ALL games will be played on weekdays. There will be no weekend games so we can hopefully decrease conflicts with cheer and soccer. Each team will play 2 games per week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday). All games will begin at 6pm. Once games begin, 6U will no longer hold practice.
*8U: One game on Saturday each week, beginning at either 3:00 or 4:30, and one weekday game. As weather and field availability allow, 8U teams will continue to hold one practice per week.
*10U & 12/14U: Doubleheaders on Saturday's with game times beginning at 9:00, 10:30, 12:00, & 1:30. 10U & 12/14U teams will continue to hold one practice each week, weather permitting.
*8U-14U teams will play a single elimination tournament on September 28.
