SCHEDULE

12/15/25: Registration opens

2/15/26: Early Bird ($10 SAVINGS) Registration ends

2/28/26: Last day to request a Head Coaching position

3/03/26: Head coaches will be notified by the FT Softball Board

3/06/26: Registration closes at midnight

3/07/26: Coaches Meeting & Player Selections (coaches only)

Week of 3/09/26: Coaches will email their players' families

Week of 3/16/26: First Practice for all teams

4/18/26: 8U-14U Opening Day!

SPRING 2026 AGE GROUPS
*6U:  September 1, 2018 - August 31, 2021
*8U:  September 1, 2016 - August 31, 2018
*10U: September 1, 2014 - August 31, 2016
*12/14U: September 1, 2010 - August 31, 2014

REGISTRATION FEES
*6U Registration cost is $95 until 2/15/26
$105 beginning 2/16/26

*8U-14U Registration cost is $135 until 2/15/26
$145 beginning 2/16/26

*There is a $20 discount for each additional registered child.

A LATE FEE OF $15 will be added for late registration AFTER registration CLOSES on 3/6/26.

GENERAL INFORMATION
*Age groups have been changed this year to align with the new USSSA age chart, and can be found HERE

*Specific age group rules: 6U  8U  10U  12/14U.
          Please note, rules may be modified at any time prior to, or after the season begins. Changes should be communicated by your daughter's Head Coach, but please check these links regularly.

*Siblings in the same age group are guaranteed to be on the same team IF registered at the same time. If siblings are registered separately, please send an email to ftsoftball@gmail.com to ensure they are selected together.

*Due to the nature of the player selection, non-sibling team requests are NOT guaranteed.


COACHING
*Anyone interested in being selected as a Head Coach must send an email to ftsoftball@gmail.com by FEBRUARY 28th in order to be considered. Please list any previous coaching experience and let us know why you are interested. Head coaches will be selected by the FT Softball Board and must pass a background check.

*Head coaches may select ONE assistant coach prior to Player Selections. If preferred, an assistant coach may be chosen after the team has been selected. Additional assistants may also be chosen at this time.

PLAYER SELECTION
*The Coaches Meeting/Player Selections will be held on Saturday, March 9th (times TBD) at the Franklin Township Softball fields. Coaches will receive a packet of information, will be informed of the rules and expectations for the season, and will select their practice days and teams during this time. This event is for coaches only. If an Assistant Coach has been chosen, they are welcome to attend. No players, please.

PRACTICE
*Practice days and times will be assigned at the Coaches Meeting. Families will be informed of their practice schedule by their Head Coach.

*The first practice for all teams will be the week of March 16th. Prior to the first game, all teams will have one scheduled weekday practice and one scheduled weekend practice.

*After games begin, 6U teams will no longer hold practice (games will serve as practice). 8U-14U teams will have one practice per week, weather permitting.


GAMES
*Each age group will play 10 regular season games. Game schedules will be released no later than 2 weeks prior to Opening Day.
